Power and Praise returns tomorrow!

Hello, fine people!  After taking this past Sunday off for Memorial Day weekend, I am back on the Magic 109 airwaves tomorrow from 4:00-7:00 PM Eastern, 1:00-4:00 PM Pacific, for another episode of Power and Praise!  I play an eclectic mix of Christian music:contemporary, praise and worship, as well as Christian rock, rap, and metal. My featured artist for this week will be Nichole Nordeman. One of the things I love about her is that she’s not afraid to use her music to ask the hard questions.  Her songs and lyrics had a major impact when I first came to know Christ.  My featured Scripture for this week will be Matthew 24:36-44, with a set of music afterward which speaks to that Scripture.

Here are the ways you can listen!  You can go to:https://www.magic109.com. You can tell your smart speaker (such as  your Amazon Echo or Google Home) to “Play Magic 109 from TuneIn.”  Finally, you can download the TuneIn Radio app on your smartphone, and tell your phone to play Magic 109.

I always enjoy it when listeners make requests!  You can submit your song requests by going to http://alicia.wesderby.net. This will allow you to search my music library to see if I have the song you want.  IF I don’t, let me know and I’ll try to get it for next week’s show.

I also take your prayer requests for the segment of the show called “Prayer on Air,” where I pray for our world, our country, and any other requests I get.  Don’t worry, I won’t give out any confidential details you don’t want spoken on-air.  You can get both song and prayer requests to me in several ways.  You can tweet me at aliciap716. You can also send me a private message via Facebook. Finally, you can email me at the following address: alicia(at)magic109(dot)com.

Whether you’re able to tune in tomorrow afternoon or not, I’d appreciate your prayers for me, for the show, and that God uses it to reach and speak to as many people as possible.

If you can’t tune in live, you can hear the show later in two ways. I’ve created my own MixClloud account where I’ll post the show.  That link is: http://www.mixcloud.com/alicia-peveto. My partner Wes Derby is also graciously hosting my podcasts along with his own at http://wesderby.net.

I hope to see you all tomorrow afternoon, 4:00-7:00 PM Eastern, 1:00-4:00 PM Pacific, for Power and Praise, where we celebrate the power of God and praise Him for it!

Country Chaos presents the days of the week

Country Chaos was presented with an idea for the show and I have to admit that it was quite the fun challenge to put together for tomorrow’s show!

If you’ve been with me since the return of the show you probably realized that I have had a theme for all of my shows. Well, the theme for this week is the days of the week! Do you know how hard it is to come up with songs to fit this theme? Ha, I do, but it was fun trying and I hope I brought you another good line up!

What do you think?
Well, this weeks “have you heard” song is pretty easy and I bet you can guess it in no time. If you think about this weeks theme what can you come up with? The song was released on December 4, 1964. Lets hope I don’t have to run away from rotten tomatoes again like last week!

As always I look forward to your request so whatever may be in your mind and you wish to hear get them over to me! What is your favorite country song that you don’t hear enough of? Remember that just because I do a theme your request don’t have to match it.

To hear the show just tell one of those many smart devices to play Magic 109 on Tune-in and I look forward to bring you 3 hours of chaotic fun.!

Dealin’ With Derby Instead of Groovin’ With Izzy This Week On Magic 109; Wes’s Musical Meltdown Fills In

Normally a listener of Groovin’ with Izzy on Thursday nights from 6:00-9:00 PM East/3:00-6:00 Pacific? Unfortunately, Izzy won’t be with us this week, but I’m stepping up to bat, and trying my hand at a fill-in for her awesomeness. Musically, we’ll be all over the place. Rock, country, Christian, secular, pop, and anything else we can pull out of the musical hat.

Visit https://www.magic109.com for listen links, find Magic 109 on TuneIn Radio, and tell smart speakers “Play Magic 109 on TuneIn”. Want to hear something? If you’re a regular listener of the Meltdown, and for the new listeners who normally listen to Izzy, just visit http://tunes.wesderby.net to fill out the request form and let me know what YOU want to hear. Alternately, you can still go to https://www.magic109.com/request and select Wes Derby from the drop-down instead of Izzy, and send your requests that way. Anything goes. Not all material will be suitable for all ages, but we’ll do our best to keep it somewhat family-friendly.

See you tomorrow night on the radio!

country chaos wishes you a happy memorial day! Is it summer yet?

Happy Memorial Day from Country Chaos! Let’s have 3 hours of summer country fun. I have to say I have one strange line up for you tomorrow from 2 to 5PM Eastern! Blame my fellow presenters, mahahahahahahah, it’s all their fault for saying I play strange songs!

Summer is close, so open those windows and prob open those doors and blast your speakers! Oh yes, I guess don’t forget the food and drinks either.

What do you think?
So, the “have you heard” for this week was originally written in 1988-89, was done again in 1990-91 and was banned for a short time. What song do you think it will be? I have to say I still have no idea which version I will play. There’s one I really like and then one that’s just so so. Oh choices, choices!

As always I look forward to your request so whatever may be in your mind and you wish to hear get them over to me! What is your favorite summer song? what is your favorite summer memory? Whatever you wish to share is open for all to hear.

Remember to hear the show just tell one of those many smart devices to play Magic 109 on Tune-in!
