Debut episode of Power and Praise with Alicia!

Hello, all! Join me this week for the debut episode of my new show, Power and Praise on Magic 109. I play an eclectic mix of Christian music: contemporary, praise and worship, as well as Christian rock, rap, and metal. My featured Scripture for this week will be 2 Corinthians 1:2:7, and my featured artist will be Nicol Sponberg, formerly of Selah, who now has her own solo career.

The show will air tomorrow from 5:00-8:00 PM Eastern, which is 2:00-5:00 PM Pacific.  Here are the ways you can listen!  You can go to and find all the links to play Magic 109 from your favorite media player or you can tell your smart speaker (such as your Amazon Echo or Google Home) to “Play Magic 109 from TuneIn.”  Finally, you can download the TuneIn Radio app on your smartphone, and search for “Magic 109” there as well.

You can submit song requests by going to This will allow you to search my music library to see if I have the song you want. IF I don’t, let me know and I’ll try to get it for next week’s show.

I also take your prayer requests for the segment of the show called “Prayer on Air,” where I pray for our world, our country, and any other requests I get. Don’t worry, I won’t give out any confidential details you don’t want spoken on-air. You can get both song and prayer requests to me in several ways. You can tweet me at @aliciap716. You can also send me a private message via Facebook. Finally, you can email me at alicia(at)magic109(dot)com too!

I’m so excited to do my first live show here on Magic 109! Whether you’re able to tune in tomorrow or not, I’d appreciate your prayers for me, for the show, and that God uses it to reach and speak to as many people as possible.

If you can’t tune in live tomorrow, you can hear the show later in two ways. My partner Wes Derby is graciously hosting my podcasts along with his own at I’ve also created my own MixCloud account where I’ll post the show. That link is

I hope to see you all tomorrow for Power and Praise, where we celebrate the power of God and praise Him for it!
